All my black chef pants were dirty so I had to wear one with a pattern. Black with veggies on it. They made me go home and put the blacks on. They even gave me 4 bucks in quarters to wash them.
So I left work and went to the laundrymat. Then went back to work. I worked 15 hours that day too.

One of my co-workers- the only one I like- is a cashier. She stocks condiments-the F&B was putting Saltines away. They had been out a few day.
She said-oh, they are in...good. He tells her they had been there the whole time, where they always are. She said she was puzzled because she couldn't find them. Truth was..the Saltines did come in that day with Sysco. He just lied so she would look stupid.
Isn't that the most assinine thing you've ever heard?

They should have a extra pants just in case...s

Thu, October 13, 2005 - 8:58 PMstick up for your rights.federal labor law says that if you are required to wear a uniform ,you must get paid for that time.I worked for Sodexho,they wanted you to clock in after you got in uniform.
I didn't find this out till after they fired me for trying to start a union.I got unemployment for about a year,but should had them reinstate me[the union dropped the ball].
I could have gotten them to reimburse me for about a 1/2 hr. each day for the year I was there.
that would 've been about $1000.FOR EACH PERSON<<IN THE KITCHEN!!!
All those corporate food services serve the worst food they can get by w/&then the GM's get big bonuses for figuring out how to screw more of the employees out of their legitimate pay. -
